Andrew, Kate and Lucy had their end of the year dance recital this past weekend, and we continue to be amazed by their stage presence (they get that from Sarah), and their dancing. (Nearly) Barefoot Running
May 5th, 2010I’ve been reading “Born to Run” (courtesy of Jenny) and I’m seriously drinking the barefoot running (or nearly barefoot) Kool-Aid. I’ve been wanting to get some Vibram FiveFingers, but it appears everyone else does too, because I haven’t been able to find any smaller sizes in stock. I started running in just my Nike sandals, until this week, when I got a pair of huaraches, the type of sandal worn by the Tarahumara tribe in the book. I had my first run today, and while my feet and legs have some strengthening to do, it felt great. I did not have the same failure as Brian. I still want to get a pair of FiveFingers, and my goal is to run this way in the Hood to Coast race I’m running this summer. Run on!
